Punjabi Virsa Arts & Cultural Academy


At the PVACA Studios in GTA, we do Bhangra, Giddha,Arts, Music and Dhol classes for all ages and genders. We volunteerily participate in multicultural events and fund raisings for charities, also we do performances for Santa Clause Parade, Canada Day Parade, Peel Police, World Kabaddi cup and Toronto Police events etc. Punjabi VACA organize many events on regular basis to bring all our youth together in a friendly environment to meet each other and to preserve and promote our culture. . Most of the ethnic and main stream media cover our event information and we show our teams talent in our own weekly TV shows on Vision, SSTV & 5AAB TV.

Nachdi Jawani Youth Festival

Every year Punjabi VACA hold 2 annual Inter-Academy Competition `Nachdi Jawani Youth Festival` for academy students only to provide them an opportunity to show learned talent on the stage on competitive lavel. Around 60 teams from all locations of Punjabi VACA participate in this youth festival every year. This is the most awaited event of the year and sell out event


Groundshaker Bhangra Competition is a bi-annual dance competition held in Toronto, and organized by the members of Nachdi Jawani and PVACA. This event brings together professional Bhangra teams from across North America, to a first class venue and amazingly organized competition where they compete for the title of Best Bhangra Team in North America. Many events comprise the Groundshaker weekend and this years event was truly memorable and very well put together, impressing participants, audience, the general public, media and competitions events.

Annual Picnic

Every year PVACA holds their Annual Picnic throughout the summer months to gather students, parents and organizers and share ideas, spend time and play games. Held at some of the GTA’s leading conservation area’s, PVACA’s organizers work hard to put together an afternoon of fun games, activities and contests for all ages, and to simply raise awareness about the academy and its work throughout the years.

Canada Day Mela

Every year July.1st PVACA holds their Annual Canada Day Mela loaded with live singers and influencers in the punjabi community. A fun filled day to celebrate the nations birthday and to embrace multiculturism all across Canada.

Battle of the Best

The top 20 teams winning from the youth festivals, compete in Nachdi Jawani's own top tournament to determine the years top dancers. this tournament is called the Battle of the best. Top teir performers give it their all to win the top spot at battle of the best every year. The night is full of high level perfomances followed by a trophy ceremony to honor the best.
